Caprese Salad is a solid classic, sure to please your palette, but try this recipe with a sweet twist!

Serving Size / Yield

2-4 servings


  • 1 C. balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 C. honey
  • 3-4 large tomatoes sliced (or cherry tomatoes)
  • 1 large sweet onion
  • 1 container of fresh mozzarella balls
  • 1 C. basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 3 Tbs. olive oil

In a saucepan, combine balsamic and vinegar and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let cook for about 10 minutes. Set aside to cool while you slice tomatoes and onion and cut mozzarella balls in half. Arrange tomato, onion and cheese slices on a plate along with basil leaves. Chop or leave basil leaves whole if desired. Drizzle balsamic over there top and sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Enjoy!
