Caramel Brownies

This is one of my kids favorite when they where young.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag caramels
  • 3/4 C. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 C. chopped walnuts
  • 1 sm. can evaporated milk
  • 1 12-oz. pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1 pkg. German chocolate cake

Directions

Mix cake mix, nuts, butter, and 1/2 can of evaporated milk together until moist. Pat 1/2 of mixture into 13x9-inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Melt carmaels and remaining evaporated milk in saucepan. Pour into pan by drizzling over the top. Bake 15-18 minutes at 350 degrees. Refrigerate and cut into bars.

  • I can pretty much figure this out, but you forgot to actually say when to put in the other half of the cake mix, etc. mixture. I'm going to make it anyway. Sounds good!
