  • 1 1/2 tsp. butter
  • 3/4 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. water
  • 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 3/4 cups almonds
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Using foil, line a medium-sized pan. With the 1 ½ tsp. butter, grease the foil. Spread out the coconut flakes evenly throughout the pan. In a large saucepan, combine the water, sugar and corn syrup. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Add in the rest of the butter. Continue cooking until thermometer says 300 degrees F. Remove from heat and place inside almonds. Pour over the coconut flakes and let cool. In a pot, melt the chocolate chips and stir until smooth.
