Caramel Pie

Special Mother's Day Entry It still amazes me how the milk caramelizes and taste yummy. This is my mother-in-law's recipe and we love it as much as we love her or maybe a little bit more. ha ha

  • 2 cans Eagle Brand
  • 2 8-inch pie shells
  • 1 small bowl Cool Whip

Place both cans of Eagle Brand in pan, unopened. Fill pan with water, bring to medium boil and boil for 30 minutes, turn both cans and boil for another 30 minutes. Repeat this step six times for total of 3 hours. Remove pan from heat and place to the side for one hour - long enough to cool and thicken a little more. Pour both cans in both pie shells and top with Cool Whip. Place both pies in refrigerator and cool for 6 to 8 hours. Pies are ready to eat and to enjoy.
