Melt together the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Stir constantly and bring to a boil, turn heat down and cook gently for 5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat, add the baking soda and vanilla and stir (it should fluff up). Place popcorn in large roasting pan and pour syrup over popcorn and stir until evenly coated. Bake in 250 degree oven for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes. Cool, break and eat!

  • Hi loriswanson22,
The videos that are found on each article are merely related videos- they are not a video of the exact recipe published on the site- that is why you've found some discrepancies between the video recipe and our recipe. Sorry for the inconvenience!

  • I am now putting the caramel popcorn back in the oven after round two. It seems a bit soggy. It must have to bake at 250 for 1 hour as the recipe states, and where in the recipe do the pecans come in. Great idea and I did add them but they are not in the recipe

  • In the recipe it says to bake for an hour, on the vidio it says to bake 10 minutes then stir and bake 10 min. more. I also hear her say on the vidio that cream of tartar makes it crispy, but there is no cream of tartar in the recipe. Help, I am making the caramel corn now and the second ten minutes is up
