Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon of onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon of garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon of dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon of all spice
  • ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon of brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of ground chili pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 avocadoes, pitted and chopped
  • 2 mangos, peeled and chopped
  • ½ red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Roma tomato, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste

Directions

For the salmon:
First, preheat a skillet over medium heat with oil and combine all the seasoning ingredients into a small bowl. Stir the seasonings until well combined. Next, brush the fillets with olive oil then press the seasoning mix onto the salmon until well coated. Cook the salmon for 5 minutes on each side, or until a golden brown crust has formed. Served with a side of salsa and enjoy!

For the salsa:
In a small bowl, stir together the avocadoes, mangoes, onion, tomato, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and red pepper flakes.
