  • 10-12 slices bacon, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 C. chicken broth
  • 1 (14 oz.) can diced tomatoes
  • 3 T. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 T. hot sauce
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 2 C. shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 C. crabmeat
  • 1 C. okra, sliced

In a large skillet, cook diced bacon until crispy and transfer to your crockpot. In the same skillet, sauté garlic, onion, and bell pepper until fragrant and tender. Add vegetables into crockpot and pour in chicken broth, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire, and hot sauce. Season with salt, pepper, cayenne, and thyme; stir well and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours. Add in shrimp, crabmeat, and okra; cook for an additional 30 minutes until shrimp is tender.
