Cheater Chili

We came up with this recipe during a long camping trip! It's very easy and great for fast meals while camping.

  • 1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
  • 1 28-oz. can chili beans w/seasonings
  • 2 14-oz. cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 28-oz. can spaghetti sauce
  • 1 14.5-oz. can Hunt's diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
  • 1 lg. onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 pkg. chili seasoning
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp. parsley (optional)

Brown burger and drain. Add all ingredients into a 4-6 qt. stock pot or crockpot. Mix well. Let simmer on stove until hot or cook in crockpot on low for 4-6 hours or cook on high for 2-4 hours. Top with chopped onions and/or cheese.
