I was looking around in the cupboard for something for supper. I came up with this.

Ingredients

  • 1 7 1/4-oz. box macaroni and cheese mix
  • 1 5-oz. can tuna in water, drained
  • 1 14-oz. can peas, drained

Directions

Prepare macaroni and cheese as directed. About 1 minute before noodles are done boiling, add tuna and peas. Finish macaroni and cheese as directed.

  • This recipe is older than me and I'm 51y.o. My mother made this for us 6 girls growing up and for my father before we even came along. If u don't have peas, u can also use green beans and also add a little onion par cooked or raw if u like a little crunch. I add a can of cream of mushroom soup to mine too every other time I make it .Tuna casserole is a staple in our house.It's so versatile.
