  • 4 C. potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 T. butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lb. beef steak, cut into pieces
  • 1 (10 oz.) can cream of celery
  • 1/3 C. milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 ½ C. cheddar cheese, shredded

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a baking dish, toss potato slices with salt and butter; line the bottom of the dish with potatoes evenly. Bake for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, brown steak pieces in a skillet until cooked through. Place cooked stead on top of potatoes once taken out of the oven. In a bowl, whisk together cream of celery, milk, garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, and ½ cup of cheddar cheese. Pour over steak, top with remaining cheese, bake covered for 20 minutes, and uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.
