These cheesy potatoes are flavored with rosemary and garlic.

  • 6 Tbs. margarine
  • 4 large baking potatoes (approx. 2 lbs.) peeled and cut into 1 in. pieces
  • 3/4 C. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. dried rosemary or 1 tsp. dried crushed basil leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1-1/2 C. diced cheddar cheese (approx. 6 oz.)
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/4 dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp. crushed or chopped garlic

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, toss potatoes with rosemary, garlic, bread crumbs, egg, garlic, salt, pepper and melted margarine. Arrange potatoes in a single layer on an un-greased sheet pan. Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 15-20 minutes or until they are soft on the inside and the outside.
