  • 1 box egg noodles
  • 1/3 cup butter, cubed
  • ½ onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 4 cups heavy whipping cream
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 10oz Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 5oz Gouda cheese, shredded
  • ¾ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 7oz prosciutto, chopped
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs

Preheat the oven to 375F. Cook the pasta according to the box for al dente and drain. In a pot or Dutch oven, heat the butter and add onion and prosciutto. Sauté for 5 minutes, or until browned. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute. Stir in the flour until well blended and stir in the chicken broth. Add the cream, pepper and salt. Stir, bringing the sauce to a boil until thickened. Reduce the heat and add the Gouda and Swiss cheeses, mixing until melted. Stir the noodles and prosciutto into the sauce and then transfer to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle on the mozzarella cheese and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
