  • 1 C. Quick grits
  • 4 C. Water, boiling
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 4 oz. Butter
  • 12 oz. Cheddar cheese, sharp
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tbs. Garlic powder
  • 3/4 C. Milk
  • dash Frank's Red Hot Sauce

Directions

Cook grits in boiling water until thick. Remove from heat. Stir in butter &

1/2 the cheese. Beat egg with garlic powder, milk & hot sauce. Add to grits.

Pour into buttered 2 Qt casserole. Top with rest of cheese. Bake 1 hour at 350.
