Cheese Potatoes in Foil
Ingredients
- 3 large baking potatoes, pared
- Salt and pepper
- 4-5 slices bacon, crisp cooked
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 8 oz. sharp process American cheese, cubed (2 C.)
- 1/2 C. butter or margarine
Directions
Slice potatoes onto a big heavy aluminum foil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Crumble bacon over. Add onion and the cheese. Slice butter over all. Mix on the foil; bring edges of foil up leaving space for expansion of steam, and seal well with double fold. Place package on grill and cook over coals about 1 hour or until done. Turn several times (or cook on grill with barbeque hood down, about 45 minutes).
Yield: 4 Servings.
