Chicken gratin may seem like a hard dish to pull off but it’s actually pretty easy. The spinach and cheese mixture inside go perfectly with the gouda cheese melted on top. This Veteran's Day, whip up a fancy meal for your guests!

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 C. mozzarella cheese
  • 1 C. spinach
  • ⅓ C. gouda cheese
  • ¼ tsp. Chili flakes
  • ¼ tsp. Turmeric
  • 1 Tbs. butter
  • 2 Tbs. olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. In a skillet, melt the butter and saute the garlic on medium heat until it’s fragrant. Toss in the spinach until it wilts, then add the mozzarella cheese. If the mixture is sticking too much, add a drizzle of olive oil. Make three slits into the chicken breasts. Stuff the spinach mixture into the three slits, sprinkle the chili flakes and turmeric on top. Top the chicken with gouda and drizzle it with more olive oil. Bake the chicken for 30-35 minutes until it’s fully cooked through.
