Cheesy Chicken Biscuit Sandwiches

Quick, simple, tasty...even busy on-the-go families can enjoy the favorite combination of chicken and warm biscuits with this easy recipe. No need for utensils, there's only one pan to clean up.

  • 1 16.3 oz. can Pillsbury Grands! Refrigerated Buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into 8 1-1 1/2" strips.
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 8 3/4 oz. slices American cheese, cut in half

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Press out each biscuit to form 5" round. Place chicken strip in middle of each dough round. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place 2 cheese slice halves on top of each chicken strip. Fold both sides of dough to the center, slightly overlapping. Secure with toothpick. Place on large cooking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink. Remove toothpick before serving.

Variation: add strips of bacon

Yield: 8 servings
