  • 1 12-inch loaf Italian bread
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 stick salted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/4 C. freshly chopped basil leaves
  • 1/4 C. chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • 1/4 C. grated Parmesan
  • 1/4 C. grated mozzarella
  • Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper

Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a food processor, add the basil, parsley, butter, garlic, and Parmesan and pulse until mixed. If you don’t have a food processor, you can fold ingredients together in a large bowl with a rubber spatula. Cut bread into 8 slices. Spread the butter mixture on one side of each slice. Wrap the slices in foil and place on a sheet tray. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and sprinkle each slice with mozzarella, salt, and pepper. Place the bread back in the oven until the cheese bubbles. Remove and serve!
