Ingredients

  • 1 round artisan or sourdough loaf
  • 1 stick salted butter, melted
  • 8 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and ground black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded Italian 4-Cheese blend
  • 2 teaspoons chopped chives

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Place the garlic cloves on a square of heavy foil, drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle salt and pepper. Wrap it up with aluminum foil and bake for an hour or until the garlic is golden. Let cool. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F.

Mix the garlic together with the 4 cheeses, chives, and black pepper in a bowl.

Cut the loaf of bread in strips vertically first, then horizontal. Make sure not to cut all the way through the loaf. Stuff the cheese mixture in between the rows. Drizzle the melted butter all over the top.

Wrap in foil and bake for 20-25 minutes. Open the foil and bake for another 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
