Cheesy Tomato Sauce Dip

- ¼ Cup diced onion
- 1 Tsp olive oil
- 2 Cloves garlic
- 15 Oz. part skim ricotta cheese
- 14-16 Oz. jar of spaghetti or pizza sauce
- 8 Oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼-1/2 Cup of Parmesan cheese
- Dried Italian herbs
- Fresh basil
Start by preheating the oven to 375 degrees.
Use a small skillet to heat olive oil and add onions. Cook until soft for 5 minutes.
Add in garlic cloves and cook for another minute.
Take a 9 inch deep pan and grease the bottom. Next spread ricotta on the bottom of the pan and put the onion mixture on top of that.
Spread about a 1/2 inch of tomato sauce over that. Then layer about a 1/2 mozzarella cheese over that. Repeat layering process once more.
Then add 1/4-1/2 cup of parmesan cheese over mozzarella layer. Add dries Italian herb seasoning on top.
Bake for 20 minutes or until it starts to brown or bubble up. Sprinkle fresh basil over top and serve.
