- 1 pkg. white cake mix
- 2 cans red tart cherries (with juice)
- 1 C. sugar
- 3/4 tsp. almond extract
- 1 tsp. red food coloring
- 2 Tbs. cornstarch
- 2 Tbs. melted butter

Prepare cake mix according to directions. Mix together cherries with other ingredients. Pour cake batter into greased and floured 13x9-in. pan (3 qt. casserole may be used). Pour cherry mixture evenly over cake batter. Bake 50 to 60 minutes at 350ºF. May be served warm or cold with whipped topping or ice crea
