Cherry Chocolate Sauce

Delicious over cakes, ice creams or fresh fruit.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. heavy cream
  • 2 Tbs. butter
  • 4 oz. bar German sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 Tbs. Kirsch (cherry brandy)
  • Cherries for dipping

Directions

Heat cream and butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add chocolate and simmer, stirring frequently, until melted. Stir in Kirsch. Pour into a small bowl and let cool.

Yield: about 1 1/4 cups
