  • 1 C. & 1 Tbs. flour, divided
  • 1 3/4 C. granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 C. 2% milk
  • 2 C. tart cherries, pitted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray two 8" cake pans with nonstick cooking spray. In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of sugar, and baking powder. Pour in the milk and mix until fully incorporated. Evenly distribute the batter between the two pans. In another medium bowl, combine the cherries with the remaining flour and sugar and toss to coat. Divide the cherry mixture between the cake pans, pouring cherries evenly over the batter. Do not stir. Cover with foil and bake for about 30 minutes, until cobblers are bubbly in the middle and golden-brown on top.
