Cherry Cream Cheese Frosting

This recipe has been in our family for years, each family member gets a cake with a different color frosting.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • a dash of vanilla
  • maraschino cherries

Directions

Blend all together to top on any cake.

    I think you use as many cherries as you want to create the flavor you'd like. More cherries make for a stronger flavor! I would drain the cherries, though. I think using the juice would make the frosting too liquidy. Hope this helps!

  • Can't figure out about the marashino cherries. Do you use a whole jar, 1/2 jar, the juice or what??? Not enough information for me.

  • E SOUNDS LIKE IT WOULD BE DELICIOUS, BUT IT DOESN'T TELL YOU HOW MANY CHERRIES OR IF THEY SHOULD BE DRAINED TILL DRY. IF I KNEW THE EXACT RECIPE, I WOPULD TRY IT.
