  • 2 bottles red wine
  • 1 orange
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 2 star anise
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 C. cherries, pitted
  • ½ C. brown sugar
  • 1 C. orange juice
  • ½ C. brandy
  • 1 T. lemon juice

Using a toothpick, poke holes into the orange and stuff with cloves. In your crockpot, combine wine, orange with cloves, star anise, cinnamon sticks, cherries, brown sugar, and orange juice. Stir well and cook on low for 4 hours. Stir in brandy and lemon juice, strain, and serve.
