Cherry Salad Supreme

Gelatin, cream cheese, and plenty of cherry flavoring forms the base for this yummy dessert salad.

Ingredients

  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
  • 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon gelatin
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese softened
  • 1/3 C. mayonnaise
  • 1 C. crushed pineapple, un-drained
  • 1 C. whipped topping
  • 1 C. miniature marshmallows
  • 2 Tbs. chopped nuts

Directions

Dissolve strawberry gelatin in 1 C. boiling water. Stir in pie filling. Pour into a 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking pan. Chill until partially set. In small bowl, dissolve lemon gelatin in 1 C. boiling water. Cool. Beat cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth. Gradually add lemon gelatin to cream cheese mixture; stir in pineapple. Add whipped topping and marshmallows. Spread on top of cherry mixture. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill until set.
