This classic cookie recipe uses vanilla pudding for that extra-chewy texture.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 C. unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 C. butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/4 C. granulated sugar
  • 3/4 C. packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 4 oz. pkg. vanilla instant pudding or pie filling
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 12 oz. package chocolate chips
  • 1 C. nuts (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix flour with baking soda in a bowl and set aside. In a large bowl, combine butter, sugars, and pudding mix. Beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs, and gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chips and nuts. Roll into balls and flatten slightly or drop by tsp. full on a non greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Note: You may use instant chocolate pudding instead of vanilla pudding for a chocolate chocolate chip cookie.
