Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 can whole peeled tomatoes packed in juice
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 6 tablespoons vodka
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless, chicken breasts
  • 1 pound dried penne pasta
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh basil leavesĀ

Directions

In a large pot of salted water pour pasta in pot, make sure the heat in on high. Put tomatoes and tomato paste in blender. After blended, put mixture in a skillet with the chili flakes, vodka, salt and sugar. Boil over medium heat and stir until thickened. Then, stir in cream and chicken and cook until done. Keep warm. Once pasta is done, stir together pasta and tomato sauce together in a pot on low heat. Sprinkle in basil then serve!
