Chicken for Crock Pot
Ingredients
- 1 frying chicken, cut in pieces
- 2 Tbs. butter or margarine, melted Salt, to taste Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 Tbs. dry Italian salad dressing mix (I used the whole packet)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 C. Sauterne or sherry
- 2 packages (3 0z) cream cheese, cut in cubes ( I used one 8 oz. package as can't buy the little ones any more)
- 1 Tbs. chopped onion
Directions
Wash chicken and pat dry. Brush with butter. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in crock pot. Sprinkle with the dry salad mix. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours. About 3/4 hour before serving, mix soup, cream cheese, wine, and onion in small saucepan. Cook until smooth. Pour over chicken in pat. Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
