Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside: country fried steak is a true delight at any dinner table. The trick with getting this dish right is cooking the steak for the right amount of time.

  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • Garlic powder
  • Olive oil
  • 4 ounce steaks
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Steak seasoning

First, whisk the eggs and milk together and place in a medium size bowl.  Then, mix two cups of flour and one teaspoon of salt into a bowl.  Add pepper, steak seasoning, and garlic powder to the dry mix and place aside.  Then take each steak and dip first into the egg mixture and then into the dry mixture.  At this time you can begin heating the oil in a large frying pan.  When all the steaks have been fully covered in the flour mixture, place them on the pan and fry on medium heat until the edges are golden brown.  The middle will be slightly pink on the inside. Serve each steak hot with a serving of steamed vegetables and fried potatoes.
