Chicken In Wine with Mushrooms

This delicious meal of chicken with mushrooms in a white wine sauce is as delicious as it sounds.

Ingredients

  • 24 saltines
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. tarragon
  • Dash pepper
  • Roll out and mix above ingredients in gallon-size zipper food storage bag. Dampen 4 large boneless, skinless, chicken bread pieces, and then shake in crumb mixture. Brown in one stick of butter. Remove to baking dish.
  • Using same frying pan, with the leftover butter and cracker bits still in it, mix:
  • 1/4 C. chopped onion
  • 1/2 C. sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/4-C. chicken broth
  • 1/2 C. white wine

Directions

Simmer mixture 5 minutes and pour over chicken. Cover tightly with foil. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
