Chicken Piquant
Ingredients
- 1 broiler-fryer, cut into 6 – 8 pieces
- ¾ C. white wine
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ¼ C. cooking oil
- 2 tsp. ground ginger
- ¼ tsp. oregano
- ¼ C. soy sauce
- 1 C. chicken broth
- 2 Tbs. brown sugar
Directions
Place chicken pieces in Dutch oven. Combine wine, salt, oil, ginger, oregano, soy sauce, broth, and brown sugar, and pour over chicken. Cover and bake in 375 degree F. oven for 1 hour. Then uncover and bake at 400 degrees F. for 15 minutes more to brown and thicken sauce. Serve with rice.
