  • For Chicken Wings
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 Tbs. white vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/4-tsp. red pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic salt
  • Dash of black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1-2 tsp. Tabasco Sauce
  • 30 chicken wings
  • For Blue Cheese Sauce
  • 1/2 C. sour cream
  • 1/2 C. crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/4 C. mayonnaise
  • 1 small clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 Tbs. buttermilk
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • salt and pepper to taste

For Chicken Wings
Mix all the ingredients except chicken in a small saucepan over low heat until the margarine is completely melted. Stir occasionally.

Fry the wings in a deep fryer set at 375 degrees, using vegetable or peanut oil. Frying 15 wings at a time for 12-15 minutes works well. Drain the wings for a few minutes then put them in a bowl. After all the wings have been fried, pour the sauce over them, cover the bowl, and shake to completely coat the wings. They can be eaten now, or you can put them on a baking sheet and bake them for a few minutes to get an extra-crispy coating.

For Blue Cheese Sauce:
In a food processor add the sour cream, blue cheese, mayonnaise, garlic, milk and lemon juice until mixed but still chunky. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for one hour.
