Chicken with Cheese
Ingredients
- 1 chicken
- 1/4 stick butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 C. water
- 3 med. onions
- 1/2 sm. can tomato paste
- pinch pepper
- 1/4 lb. head Romano cheese
Directions
Wash chicken and cut into pieces. Chop the onions finely and brown with the butter in a casserole, adding a little water at a time to form sauce while browning. Add chicken and brown. Add the tomato paste, salt, pepper and 2 C. water. Boil until chicken is tender. Cut the cheese into small pieces, about 2-inch squares and add to chicken. Let boil 5 minutes, before ready to serve.
