- 8 uncut French sandwich rolls
- 8 hot dogs
- 2 cans favorite chili with beans
- 1 C. shredded cheese (mild cheddar is best)
- 1 Tbs. oil
- Diced onions (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use non-stick cookie tray. Scoop out bread from roll leaving it hollow. Set bread aside. Note: use excess bread for baked croutons, stuffing or as filler for meatloaf. Cook chili on stovetop. Fry hotdogs in oil. Place cooked hotdogs into hollowed out French rolls, placing them on cookie sheet. Spoon chili in and around hotdog, filling in the top and sides of roll. Add onions. Sprinkle cheese over top. Place in oven for 15 minutes or until cheese has melted and rolls are toasted. Serve immediately.
