Chili Con Carne

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 C. chopped onion
- 1/3 C. chopped green bell pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 envelope chili seasoning mix (or taco mix)
- one 16-oz. can tomatoes, cut up
- 2/3 C. water
- one 4-oz. can whole green chilies, seeded, rinsed, and chopped
- hot cooked rice
Directions
In skillet, combine ground beef, onion, green pepper, and garlic. Cook until meat is brown and vegetables are tender. Stir in chili seasoning mix, tomatoes, water, and chilies. Cover and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve on top of hot cooked rice.
