A mix of rice, beef, crunchy chow mein noodles, and Chinese vegetables creates a tasty entrée.

  • 2-3 lbs. ground beef, browned
  • 1/2 C. uncooked instant rice
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 C. hot water
  • 1/3 C. chopped celery or green bell pepper
  • 1/3 C. chopped onion
  • Pepper to taste
  • 14 oz. can bean sprouts, drained
  • 1/4 C. soy sauce
  • 10 oz. can mushrooms, drained
  • 2-3/4 oz. can chow mein noodles

In a large baking dish, layer all the ingredients except the chow mein noodles in the order listed. Cover and bake for 30 minutes at 350. Uncover and add chow mein noodles. Bake an additional 30 minutes.
