• 1 one oz. squares unsweetened chocolate
• 3 C. milk, scalded
• 3 C. dry 1/2 inch bread cubes
• 2 beaten eggs
• 1/2 C. sugar
• 1/4 tsp. salt
• 1 tsp. vanilla

Melt chocolate in milk. Soften bread cubes in milk mixture. Combine eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla; beat well. Combine both mixtures; blend. Pour into greased 8 inch round baking pan. Bake by placing in another pan containing 1/2 inch of hot water. Bake 45 minutes in 350 degree oven. Serve with whipped topping if desired.
