Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 C. flour
  • 4 oz. butter, unsalted
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 C. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 C. yogurt
  • 3 Tbs. cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbs. milk
  • 1 C. strawberries
  • Chocolate Strawberry Sauce:
  • 2 C. strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 C. water
  • 2 Tbs. sugar
  • 5 1-oz. squares semisweet chocolate
  • 2 Tbs. butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Mix baking powder, cocoa, flour and salt. In a separate bowl, stir vanilla, butter and brown sugar while adding one egg at a time. Add flour mixture, milk and yogurt. Mix well. Pour in 9-inch cake pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. 

For chocolate strawberry sauce, bring strawberries, water and sugar to boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add chocolate, butter and vanilla. Stir until melted and smooth. Garnish cake with strawberries. Drizzle chocolate strawberry sauce.
