Ingredients
- 2 C. dark sweet cherries, halved and pitted
- 1/2 C. water
- 2 Tbs. sugar
- 5 1-oz. squares semisweet chocolate
- 2 Tbs. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions
In a saucepan, bring to boil cherries, water and sugar. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add chocolate, butter and vanilla; stir until melted and smooth. Serve warm or at room temperature over ice cream or plain cake. Store in refrigerator; will keep up to 2 weeks.
