Chocolate Chip Macadamia Cookies

Macadamia nuts add a distinctly adult flavor to these classic cookies.

  • 1 pkg. white cake mix
  • 1 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 C. quick-cooking oats
  • 1/2 C. butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 C. coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
  • 1 1/2 C. semi-sweet chocolate chunks or chips

In a large bowl, combine cake mix, flour, oats, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Beat on low speed for 1 minute or just until smooth. Stir in nuts and chocolate chunks. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto prepared sheets. Bake 10-15 minutes or until light golden. Cool 1 minute on wire racks or until firm on baking sheets then remove to racks and cool completely.

  • If no temp is specified, I usually use 350 to 375 degrees and check on them in 8 minutes, normally a cookie time to bake is 10 to 12 minutes.

  • My biggest concern with recipes submitted on this site are lack of servings noted and in the above cookie recipe...what temp do u bake these at?
