Chocolate Christmas Bark
Ingredients
- 1 sleeve Saltine crackers
- 2 sticks butter (not margarine)
- 1 C. white sugar
- 12 oz. pkg. semi or bittersweet chocolate
- 1 C. finely chopped walnuts
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a 10x15-inch pan with foil or use foil cookie sheet. Fill with a single layer of Saltine crackers. Bring sugar and butter to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for three minutes and then pour syrup over the saltines carefully. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until light brown. Watch carefully: 1 minute can make a difference. Pour the chips evenly over the hot crackers and spread as they melt. Sprinkle with nuts and freeze for 2 hours. Peel off the foil and break into pieces.
