Two guilty pleasures rolled up into one amazing treat! These chocolate covered cheesecake brownies are easy to make, and even easier to devour.

  • For Brownie Layer:
  • ½ C. of Milk chocolate chips
  • 1 C. granulated sugar
  • ¾ C. all-purpose flour
  • 2 T. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 10 T. butter
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • For Cheesecake Layer:
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 C. granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 5 full size chocolate bars for topping

For Brownie Layer:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x9 baking pan (or line with foil). In small, microwaveable bowl, melt chocolate chips and butter (about 60 seconds). Stir until well-blended and smooth. If you need to heat more, do so at 10 second intervals until sufficiently melted. In large bowl, slowly beat the 2 eggs, vanilla and sugar. Slowly fold in melted chocolate until well mixed. Sift together the cocoa powder, salt and flour. Stir thoroughly into chocolate batter and then pour into greased baking pan
For Cheesecake layer:
In a medium bowl, beat together all ingredients until smooth. Spread gently over brownie mix in baking pan and bake for 50 minutes. After 50 minutes turn oven off and cover top of cheesecake layer with whole chocolate bars. Return to warm oven until the chocolate bars have melted softly. Remove from oven and allow to cool before cutting into bars and removing from pan.
