Chocolate Haystacks

This is one of those kid friendly recipes that you can also make at Easter or a party, instead of making them haystacks you can form them into a bird nest and put little jelly beans in for the bird eggs. Very good.

Melt chocolate and butterscotch bits in a double boiler over simmering water. Take off heat and mix in chow mein noodles and nuts (optional). Drop by Tablespoonfuls on wax paper and cool to room temp. About 85 calories each

*NOTE* I found that using my Oscar food processor to chop the nuts worked best. I've used pecans and even though the recipe says to chop them coarsely, I found that using the processor to chop them finely adds more flavor and doesn't detract from the crunchiness.

Yield - Makes 2 Doz.
