Chocolate Walnut Brownies

Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 1/2 C. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 6 oz. baking chocolate
- 1 C. flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- pinch salt
- 3/4 C. walnuts, chopped
Directions
Set oven to 350 degrees. In an electric mixer, soften butter, add sugar, and beat until light in color. Add eggs, one by one, and add vanilla. Melt chocolate on a plate over simmering water and fold into butter mixture. Sift together and fold in remaining ingredients. Mix well. The color must be uniform. Spread evenly in a buttered and floured cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes. Cut into squares after mixture has cooled.
