Ingredients
- 16 oz. semi-sweet or bitter-sweet chocolate morsels
- 3 Tbs. butter
- 8 Tbs. heavy cream
- 2 Tbs. orange-flavored liqueur
- 1 tsp. orange extract
- 2 C. walnuts, coarsely chopped
- 4 oz. chocolate decors
Directions
Combine the chocolate morsels, butter, cream, liqueur and extract in a heavy saucepan or top of a double boiler. Stir over low heat until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat. Add walnuts and blend well. Transfer the mixture to a bowl, cover and chill until firm, about 3 hours.
Empty decors on a piece of wax paper. Take teaspoons of the mixture and shape into 1-inch balls. Rolls balls in the decors until well-coated. Chill the truffles on a baking sheet, lined with wax paper for 2-3 hours or until firm. Store in airtight container, chilled for 2 weeks.
