It’s time to bake those holiday sweets everyone’s been waiting for! A Chocolate yule log is the way to go. It's festive with a little powdered sugar sprinkled on top and it's rolled to precision.

  • 6 squares semi-sweet
  • 6 T. butter
  • 1 C. granulated sugar
  • ¾ C. powdered sugar
  • 3 C. whip cream, thawed
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 C. flour, divided
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • 2/3 C. water
  • Chocolate, divided
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray the baking pan with cooking spray and line the baking pan with waxed paper and spray more cooking spray. Microwave 3 chocolate squares and butter in a bowl for 2 minutes. Add in the granulated sugar and mix well. In a separate bowl beat the eggs until they become thick. Add in ¼ C. of flour and baking soda and mix. Add in the rest of your flour and water. Spread the mixture into your prepared pan. Let it bake for 15 minutes; sprinkle it with ¼ C. of powdered sugar. Immediately take the cake out the baking pan by grabbing the waxed paper, gently roll it and place it on a cooling rack. Take your cream cheese, the remaining powdered sugar and 1 ½ C. of cool whip. Evenly spread the mixture on the cake and roll it. Microwave the remaining cool whip chocolate and spread it onto the cake. Let it refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
