Chocolatey Breakfast Bars
Serving Size / Yield
- 1/3 canola oil
- 6 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 3 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups rice cereal
- 8 oz chocolate, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Place canola oil, 4 tbsp of butter, and salt in a bowl, mix until combined
Spread mixture on a baking pan and heat in the oven for 17 minutes
Remove from oven and set aside after 17 minutes are over.
Combine brown sugar, honey, and maple syrup in a saucepan over medium heat, stir to ensure ingredients are combined.
Carefully pour vanilla extract and rice cereal in the mixture while continuing to stir.
Press rice cereal mixture into the baking pan
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown
Remove from oven and place in refrigerator for 10 minutes
Cut into bars and dip into melted chocolate
Place dipped bars onto parchment paper and place in refrigerator to cool
