Desserts are one of the best things to make with crescent rolls. They have a sweet flavor already, so they are the perfect substitute for a puff pastry. This chocolate plait is melty and delicious with the flaky crust of the crescent.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, chocolate chips, and sugar. Roll the dough out and spread the cream cheese mixture down the center. Make diagonal slices on each side of the pastry and criss cross the dough. Do this with both pastries and brush it with the butter. Glaze the syrup on top of them. Sprinkle the top with pecans and chocolate chips and bake for 15 minutes until it’s golden brown.
