This pudding is made with chocolate and strawberries. You can have it as a breakfast or you can have it as a dessert. Either way, you will love this rice pudding!

  • 3⁄4 cup medium grain rice
  • 1 1⁄2 cups water
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt (heaping)
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1⁄2 cup sugar
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup of melted chocolate
  • ½ cup of sliced strawberries

First, bring the rice, water and salt to a boil over med-high heat and then cover and simmer the rice until the water has been absorbed (approximately 15 minutes).
Next, Stir in the milk and sugar and cook the rice uncovered over medium heat for 30-40 minutes, stirring frequently, until the pudding has developed a thick porridge-like consistency. If it is overcooked then the pudding ill be solid instead of creamy once it is cooled.
Remove the pudding from the heat and stir in the vanilla, add sliced strawberries, and drizzle the pudding and the strawberries with chocolate.
Last, cover the pudding with plastic wrap directly on surface if you do not want a skin.
