Ingredients

  • 3/4 C. corn meal
  • 1/4 C. flour
  • 2 Tbs. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 C. sweet milk
  • 1/2 C. sour milk
  • 3 Tbs. butter

Directions

Stir together dry ingredients. Add beaten eggs to one half cup sweet milk, then add the sour milk. Combine dry and liquid ingredients. Melt butter in small frying pan, turn in mixture and pour second half of sweet milk over this without stirring. Bake 25 minutes in moderate 350-degree oven. Serve hot. Â
